return to the good life

Aug. 26th, 2006 | 04:21 am

still i scratch the dust away from my body, from the desert? or from the sand dunes this evening? Fairly intense day all in all. Through sun and shade, nature and city a fair sized group powered through the day on our bikes. First destination is Thetis Lake. I stayed in the water for more than three minutes with out being afraid of the sea monsters. Thanks to the help of a very small floaty toy, Karmin, Caitlin and I all huddled around. Synchronized swimming was practiced and I showed off my leg which I plucked while stuck in Nevada.
Return to the good life. Blackberries galore! Pancakes for dinner and much Labrador smoking. By 12 we reconvened and powered up the sand dunes. Many shooting stars. I was a little afraid to wish. Got back at 3 and tried to watch a fraction of the Labyrinth. All muscles, joints, and orgins will ache tomorrow.

I now reside in Santa Cruz

Aug. 7th, 2006 | 04:59 pm
location: California coast
music: cafe music

im now in the middle of a long anticipated roadtrip.
I feel like a local in this town of santa cruz though I have only been here for two days. My head and my stomache are turning in a bad way. Too much cheap wine on sandy sunny beaches. Every one seems so familiar in a bizzare way. I will live here untill I stumble upon more riches.
a_poppet_diary   is our roadtrip journal.

Good and bad ideas for a Sunday

Jun. 14th, 2006 | 03:58 am

This sunday was the first breakfast of this summer that Hayden hosts on his farm. Its a good idea to offer people quails eggs in exchange for breakfast and an enchanted back yard.
Sometimes its a mistake to think it is summer and a carnival is a good idea.
I rode a horse which the pirates were trying to pass off as a pony. Good thing it was a horse.
Burnt oil and sugar is toxic. Wild rides result in wild headaches, and Wild lettuce is tranquillizing. Although its a bad idea to knap so late in the evening.
I sold a stack of CDs so I could afford one day.
I switched banks for a free Ipod.
These things I feel good about.
Its a good thing to know how birds fornicate.

When I returned to work today it was as uncomfortable as ever. Green tea noodles are gross. Sorting beads is the only fullfilling task I have in my job. I quit. Which is so relieving. Though I will miss the tits and ass, as well as a few dream dresses. Now I can go live in the Caribou and go to America.
